Day Programs
The Life Skills Program is designed to teach persons with developmental
disabilities living, working, and leisure skills to enhance each
individual’s participation in their community.
An individual’s personal growth and independence is enhanced through
development of Individual Program Plans which are unique to each
person’s goals, strengths and needs. From this a curriculum is designed
to support the individual in attaining their goals.
The components of the Life Skills program include:
- Self-Care skills
- Money/banking Skills
- Socialization skills
- Domestic skills

- Pre-vocational work skills
- Communication skills
- Pre-academic skills
- Leisure/recreation
- Community skills (transportation, safety etc.)

The Life Skills Program also offers a Leisure/Retirement component
where the focus is on maintenance of existing skills as well as
teaching skills which allow the access of generic services in the
community. Individuals in this program participate in community
based seniors programs to the fullest extent possible.
