Executive Director
Community Living Ajax, Pickering and Whitby is inviting applications
for the position of Executive Director of our growing and dynamic
organization.
The Executive Director is accountable to a volunteer Board of Directors
for the effective management of the Association's support services
for adults with intellectual disabilities.
We are seeking a highly skilled and multi-talented person who will
offer leadership excellence in:

- Financial Planning
- Strategic Planning
- Government Partnerships
- Community and Interagency Partnerships
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to comply
with our mission and values which relate to assisting people with
intellectual needs to live with dignity and to participate fully
and effectively within our community. The Executive Director must
be knowledgeable of and work within the legislation and processes
of the Ministry of Community and Social Services.
Requirements include a degree from a recognized University, demonstration
of strong leadership skills with a proven ability to effectively
build and supervise a team, excellent verbal and written communication
skills, strong computer literacy skills, a demonstrated ability
to be a positive role model, ability and willingness to work within
a unionized environment, criminal reference check, valid Ontario
driver's licence, clean Driver's Abstract.

Title: Behavioural Resource
Specialists

Job Summary
- Assist the Behavioural Consultant in development, implementation,
and documentation of all behavioural support plans for dually
diagnosed individuals receiving services in the residential treatment
home;
- Provide a home-like environment for supported individuals, ensuring
that their rights are maintained and respected;
- Assist in the development and implementation of education and
training programs for staff, families, and community agencies;
- As a part of the multidisciplinary treatment team participate
in the assessment, ongoing clinical review, discharge plans and
follow up of individuals referred to the program;
- Act as the liaison with representatives from other service providers
and the community;
- Collect data and maintain required records and documentation;
- Provide on-call duties, and support to staff in treatment home
as requested by the Program Coordinator;and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Required
Behavioural Science Technology Diploma or equivalent post secondary
education
General Requirements

- Ability to work under pressure and proven experience dealing
with emergency situations;
- In-depth knowledge of developmental disabilities, dual diagnosis,
medications and medical resources;
- Computer skills;
- Availability for evening and/or weekend work and on-call duties,
as needed;
- Recent Criminal Reference Check;
- Valid certificate and demonstrated proficiency in First-Aid,
CPR, and NVCI;
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Central
East Region.
Previous Experience
- 3 years of direct support experience;
- Current clinical experience and knowledge of applied behaviour
analysis as it applies to the areas of dual diagnosis (mental
health and developmental disabilities);
- Experience in working as a part of multidisciplinary treatment
team;
- Experience in supporting adults with complex developmental,
mental health and behavioural needs;
- Experience working with families, advocates, other services,
and community leaders.
